Playing a British girl with terminal cancer in the uplifting new film Now Is Good has inspired Dakota Fanning to consider moving here.

The 18-year-old American star of The Twilight Saga vampire films tells Mandrake that she has her eye on a property in the capital.

“I could totally live in London,” the actress says at the film’s European premiere at the Curzon Mayfair. “Who couldn’t? That would be great.”

Fanning, who found fame at the age of seven starring opposite Sean Penn in the Hollywood film I am Sam, adds: “I stayed in South Kensington last time, which was great, but I don’t know where exactly I would choose to live – I like being in the middle of it all.”

At the UK premiere, Dakota told the press about how much fun she had on the set.

“Even though it was super emotional and tense and all of that, we all had an amazing time and I think the fun that we had was the key,” Dakota said. “We became like a small family and had fun together and laughed together, and then we’d know when it was time to be serious. And that meant it wasn’t a challenge to go to work every day, where we were gonna be depressed and sad, and everyone really looked forward to it.”

FYI: Dakota is wearing a Stella McCartney gown, Jimmy Choo shoes, and a Lanvin clutch.

Dakota Fanning amused by ad ban

Dakota Fanning thinks her Marc Jacobs' perfume ad ban was "hilarious".

The 18-year-old actress made headlines last year when an advertisement for the designer's Oh, Lola! fragrance was scrapped for being too provocative.

Dakota was clutching the perfume bottle between her thighs and the images were banned on the basis it appeared to "sexualise a child".

"I thought it was hilarious. All of my friends were like, 'Yeah, you're corrupting youth with your perfume bottle and pink polka-dot dress!'" she laughed in an interview with British newspaper The Telegraph.

"I'm constantly baffled by what people care about, when there are real problems in the world."

Dakota and her younger sister Elle are both making waves in Hollywood with their striking on-screen performances and fashion sense to boot.

The blonde star admires her 14-year-old sibling's style confidence.

"I love fashion but I'm nothing compared to Elle. People always ask me if I've given her advice and I honestly haven't. I don't think she needs it!" she gushed.

"The most amazing thing about my sister is that she's so beautifully unaware. She has no insecurities. She's completely free. She just lives and does, and I love that. I wish I had more of that in me sometimes, because I'm more controlled, and I keep things inside myself."
